Welcome to Wichita Underground

The Wichita Underground is a "Para-Church" organization, that is, we are a Christian faith-based organization that carries out our mission independent of one particular church oversight. We choose rather to seek wise council and guidance from a variety of Christian leaders both locally and even nationally.

 

The prefix para, is Greek for beside, or alongside. We at the Wichita Underground seek to stand beside the active, Holy Spirit led churches in the greater Wichita area that are seeking to go out to the hurting and lost and show them the REAL Jesus Christ.


Our motto at the Wichita Underground is "To go where others fear to tread, taking Jesus to the streets."



Who We Are

We here at the Wichita Underground are currently in the process of moving this ministry to an IRS 501 (C) 3 nonprofit organization. Doing this will enable us to receive tax exempt donations from individuals to further the reaching of the lost.

 

The Wichita Underground currently provides training, education, and even some print resources to individuals and churches who have a heart to reach the lost and hurting. Currently we have been blessed to provide these resources in not only English but we are now starting to reach out to the Spanish speaking community!



What We Do

The Wichita Underground primarily concentrates on sharing the Gospel of Jesus Christ "on the street" so to say. Wherever you find people you may very well find the Wichita Underground there. During the fairer weather times of the year here in Wichita we can be found at places such as the Old Town entertainment and bar district, the Keeper of the Plains, and most any outdoor special event here in Wichita. During the colder, inclement time of the year here in Wichita you can find the Wichita Underground walking around in various grocery stores, mega stores, big box stores, malls, and sporting venues.

 

Wichita Underground people are not really all that hard to spot. We'll be the ones passing out "million dollar bill" gospel tracts! We'll also be sharing the way of Salvation using the Ten Commandments. To see the Wichita Underground in action click here!



What Keeps Us Going

The burning passion to see the lost come to know a saving grace in our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ is what keeps us going! One does not need to be much of a Bible scholar to see that are time on this Earth is very, very short! Knowing not only that our time is short but that every day an innumerable amount of people from right here in our very own community are dyeing and going to Hell is a very strong motivation for us to be the wake up call to this city!

 

When we see time and time again people coming to their senses and accepting Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior we get excited to be able to go out and share Jesus! Watch this!
